Four generations have molded the Thommessen family company in St.Vith.
Peter Thommessen’s upholstery store was the foundation stone of the
company. The store and workshop in the Rathausstrasse (today Haus Peter
Kohnen in the Hauptstrasse) were destroyed in 1944 during the Ardennes
Offensive in the Second World War.
Kaspar Thommessen in the second generation expanded the range of
furnishings, selling curtains, drapes, rugs and bedding in a new
building at 49, Hauptstraße. In 1985 Ernst Thommessen bought the
St.Vither Warny-Spoden Traditionsmöbelhaus and turned it into today’s
St.Vither Möbelcenter.
The fourth generation entered the family business a few years ago with Eric and Esther Thommessen.
The Luxemburger Strasse store at number 54 has existed for over 40
years. This is where on 6500 square meters we display our unique offer
of furniture, furnishings and gift articles.
We are a leading furniture center in the Eifel-Ardennes area. We have
happy customers from Brussels to Karlsruhe, from Luxembourg to Cologne
and Düsseldorf. In our store we speak German, French, English and
"Letzebuergesch".
